Since 1985 Workum is a well known spot in the International Sailing World. The latest years the reputation of Sailing Club Workum increases because of the organsation of a lot of large sailing events and championships. The Sailing Club is suported by a large number of volunteers and disguinshes itself by skill and enthousiasm. The fascilities and location give the possibility for the organisation of a succesful and great event.

Tijdens Sail 2010 was de ZVW aanwezig met startschip, rubberboot en een aantal vrijwilligers om de wedstrijden van de IFKS te organiseren. De wedstrijden vonden plaats in het activiteiten gebied op het IJ en trokken dagelijks veel bezoekers. Foto’s van dit festijn kun je hier vinden. Daarnaast zijn er op onze fotosite nog een paar foto's van Riek Mehlbaum en Gerard Graafsma geplaatst.

Hieronder staan de uitslagen van het MKE in Workum.Het waren 2 prachtige wedstrijddagen, met heel mooi weer en...WIND. Er zijn 6 wedstrijden gevaren, met hier en daar wat windschiftingen. De 62 deelnemers waren erg tevreden en komen volgend jaar graag weer terug.

Workum: middelpunt van de internationale zeiljeugd
Maar liefst 660 boten bemand door bijna 800 zeilers en zeilsters in de leeftijdsgroep van 8 tot ongeveer 21 jaar streken dit weekend met hun boten in Workum neer. Van daar uit werd de jaarlijkse Dutch Youth Regatta op het IJsselmeer gezeild. Lees hier verder.......
